Table of Contents Page for Bosnia Web Pages

From 13 August 1998 through 31 March 1999, the 126th Med Company was deployed to Bosnia as part of the NATO Stabilization FORce (SFOR).  While there, I decided it might benefit the folks back home as well as our own people to produce and maintain a monthly web page about our experiences.  As the unit Historian, I'd already been taking photographs and keeping a journal so the idea seemed not only practical, but also relatively straightforward.

I produced the following pages, relating the actual events of our Bosnia tour.  Though they produced some highly personal angst among the smallest possible minority (note the difference in the logo and headers on the February, March, and "Escape" pages, and the fact that I'd been ordered not to include my rank with my name), the sites received continuous and increasingly positive feedback from families and other military units--especially those slated to deploy to Bosnia in the future.

I'm posting these pages because the feedback still arrives, along with requests for information and accounts from people and units either in Bosnia or on their way.  In addition to messages expressing thanks for accurately depicting our assignment to the region, my contacts there continue confirming to me that, though some of the realities of a Balkans tour have changed a bit, most have not.
